Binge-listen my 2023 podcasts
2023 teemed with invitations to appear on podcasts. One reason was the summer publication of my latest book Dragon Suit. Another has been the utter confusion about what is happening in China, both inside the country and worldwide. I am grateful that some of you think the book can dissolve some of that confusion, but of course not for long: China moves on, and changes seldom make it simpler.
Like before, in 2023 I thoroughly enjoyed the diverse approaches of podcast hosts to the same topics I raised. Their questions ranged from the specifically professional to the curiously personal. If I ever wondered whether I should start my own podcapst, now I know I won't: being on other people's shows has been so much more insightful and fun that I could ever hope to achieve with my own show!
As we close 2023, I did my best to collect as many of this year's appearances as I could. By the way: don't take the title too seriously, and don't blame me if you do: listening to several of these shows would probably become repetitive. But if you like what I do, I can recommend listening to a handful of those that represent contrasting styles, because these hosts are real pros who dig very deep very fast.
Great thanks to everyone who made these interviews happen through introductions, encouragement, hosting, producing, and especially those who worked hard on these episodes without ever appearing in them. I look forward to working with all of you in 2024!
